Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information Cávero Chocolates, a partnership operating the CÁVERO brand ("CÁVERO", "we", "us"), collects when you visit caverochocolates.store, order from us, or contact us (including on WhatsApp or by phone), and how we use and protect it.

1. What we collect

  • Order and contact details: your name, phone number, email address, and delivery address.
  • Order information: the products you buy, order value, delivery notes and order history.
  • Payment information: we accept bank transfer and Cash on Delivery. For bank transfers, we receive payment confirmation details (such as the sender's name, bank and transaction reference). We don't collect card details.
  • Messages: what you send us on WhatsApp, by email, by phone or through our contact form, including any photos or videos you send about an order.
  • Account details, if you create a customer account on our Site.
  • Device and usage information: like most online stores, our store platform (Shopify) automatically collects technical data such as your IP address, browser, device, the pages you visit and items added to cart, using cookies and similar technologies.

2. How we use it

  • To take, confirm, prepare, deliver and support your order, including calling or messaging you to confirm Cash on Delivery orders.
  • To share delivery details with our courier, TCS.
  • To contact you about your order by WhatsApp, phone or email.
  • To handle cancellations, complaints and refund requests.
  • To keep the Site secure and prevent fraud, including declining Cash on Delivery for addresses or numbers with refused deliveries.
  • To understand how the Site is used and improve it (Shopify's built-in analytics).
  • To send you marketing messages only if you've opted in (for example by subscribing to our emails). You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • To meet legal, tax and accounting requirements.

3. Who we share it with

We don't sell your personal information. We share it only as needed with: - Shopify, which hosts our store and checkout (see Shopify's privacy policy: https://www.shopify.com/legal/privacy). - TCS, our courier, which receives your name, phone number, delivery address and COD amount. - Our bank, to process and verify bank transfers and refunds. - WhatsApp (Meta), when you message us there; WhatsApp's own privacy policy applies to that chat. - Authorities, when required by law, or to protect our rights or prevent fraud.

4. Cookies and analytics

Our Site uses cookies needed for the store and cart to work, plus Shopify's built-in analytics. We don't currently use third-party advertising pixels (such as Meta, Google or TikTok). If that changes, we'll update this policy. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some store features may then not work.

5. Where your data is stored

Shopify and its service providers may store and process data on servers outside Pakistan. They protect data with industry-standard security.

6. How long we keep it

We keep order and payment records for as long as needed to fulfil orders and meet tax, accounting and legal obligations. We keep marketing contact details until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.

7. Your choices and rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, or stop marketing messages, by contacting us at caverochocolates@gmail.com or on WhatsApp at +92 334 8983327. We may need to keep some information to meet legal obligations. Unauthorised access to or misuse of personal data can also be an offence under Pakistan's Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act, 2016 (PECA).

8. Security

We use the security provided by Shopify (including encrypted connections) and limit access to your information to the people who need it to fulfil your order. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data.

9. Children

Our Site isn't directed at children under 18, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information. Orders should be placed by an adult.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. The latest version will always be on this page with its "last updated" date.
